Hospital Standard Charges

Effective January 1, 2019, CMS requires hospitals to make available a list of their current standard charges, including for diagnosis-related groups established under section 1886(d)(4) of the Social Security Act, via the internet in a machine readable format. The information provided is intended to meet the requirements of the new CMS regulation. This reflects the standard charges billed for these services and not amounts due from patients or insurance carriers. If a patient has health insurance, the patient’s health insurance policy (including deductibles, co-pay, co-insurance and out-of-pocket maximums) will apply and the amount the patient owes for health care services will depend on the patient’s insurance coverage. If a patient does not have insurance, Centura Health provides uninsured patients with discounted rates for all medical bills.
